Stepping outside in my slippers, the negative temperatures weren't enough to keep me inside this morning.
It is my 28th year celebrating my life. The stunning sunshine (which feels rare) was glistening through the trees, and sparkling ice everywhere was singing Happy Birthday to me.

Yesterday, we went out to knock icicles off our gutters, out of fear that they will be damaged, which they may be already. Ice hangs mighty heavy, and we have plenty to go around. After a sunny day today, some melted away, but not enough. The following pictures are from yesterday's exploration of our yard, camera in tow, as usual.

I am standing on top of the snow and ice, probably between 6-9 inches of it, and the icy layer was enough to hold my weight and keep me from sinking in.

And of course, Vincent in an old pot. What a ham.

He finally started saying "ma-ma" again, along with lots of other things..
He recognizes cat, and sometimes seems to say it, but it's mostly "Cah".. and the newest mimick is "Gah Cub" and we swear he's nailed it a few times (golf club).. but how could he really?! He loves playing with his Dad's toys, and is always excited to try and name them.

My lovely little man.
