At a mere 10 days old- this little munchkin is growing like the weeds in my neglected flowerbeds...
He is eating very well, sleeping very well, and keeping us as busy as he can with diapers. We still find ourselves in occasional moments of shock, sitting there, and suddenly realizing with amazement that he's really there, laying on your chest, gurgling about something fantastic. It is surreal. This precious little miracle, looking at us with the brightest eyes we've ever seen.

He has already outgrown two sleepers, a few pair of
socks, a hat, and a onesie. I'm sure I will forever be surprised at how quickly he grows and changes. My favorite little sleeper from Aunt Mindy has been one of only a few newborn sized pieces of clothing he has- He was swimming in 0-3 months, and now cannot wear newborn size. He was wearing it yesterday and grunting and stretching unsuccessfully- I realized- HOLY SMOKES- he's too big- he couldn't even straighten his little legs perfectly. So, we've begun a little storage tote of 'too small' baby items- for baby number two?? Yesterday we went for a walk to the arboretum with Nana- first time out in our fantastic jogger- although we mosied along, no jogging, no power walking.. just enjoying the beautiful spring blooms and scents. Before leaving, I loaded him into his car seat- and had to adjust it up a notch- little man isn't as little as he was last week! It is insane!!

They say newborns double in size in the first 6 months.. Of course my oldest sister was here to visit with her tribe of 6- the youngest is a 20lb. 3 month old. Now, that is one BIG baby boy.

I decided to pose Vinny for a shot to send to Aunt Moose in FLA, she visited Ireland this past year, and sent us a hand knitted wool hat from abroad- I put it on him- and he was reaching for it, not too happy. He is a hat wearing baby right now- but he wasn't so sure about the wool.
He looks like a little singing king!!

So precious are these days.. We are in love with our new life as parents.
